Two die during police recruitment camp in Haryana

Kurukshetra, June 25: Two youths fell unconscious while taking part in a police recruitment drive here and died in hospitals later, a senior police official said today.

The recruits, aged around 25, yesterday collapsed while undergoing physical examination tests here, Kurukshetra SP, Simardeep Singh said today.

While one youth died at GMCH hospital at Sector 32, the other passed away at civil hospital here.

Asked about reports that the youths had died after using performance enhancing drugs, Singh said,

"I have come to know about this through media reports only. However, I cannot make any comment on this as the postmortem is still underway."

"Haryana Staff Selection Commission is conducting the police recruitment rally. It is being held from June 15 till July 12," he said.
