Two cattle smugglers apprehended
Guwahati, Sept 5: Personnel of the Guwahati frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) today apprehended two cattle smugglers from the Indo-Bangla international boundary in Dhubri district of Assam.
The cattle smugglers who were identified as Muktadir Akon and Nuruddin Mondal were apprehended when they were trying to smuggle cattle heads to Bangladesh, a BSF release said.
The smugglers have been handed over to local police for further legal action. The BSF troops had also seized 227 cattle heads valued at Rs 14,29,220 on the intervening night of September 4/5.
