Two arrested over attack on Kashmiri students in Mewar University
Clashes broke out on Wednesday after Kashmiri students were allegedly called stone pelters.
Two persons were arrested on Friday in connection with the thrashing of eight Kashmiri students Rajasthan's Mewar University.
The took place on Wednesday after a few Kashmiri students of the varsity clashed with locals for being allegedly called "stone-pelters". Four students were hospitalised while four others suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Kashmiri students also staged a protest at the university over the incident.
The case was registered at Gangrar police station and a search was launched to apprehend the accused.
There are around a 1,000 Kashmiri students studying in Mewar University.
Last year, some Kashmiri students were attacked over rumours of cooking beef in hostel. Later, the forensic reports revealed that it was goat meat.
