Tusker killed by train

Alipurduar, Nov 22: A tusker was killed after it was hit by a goods train at Haripur in this district early today.

The train hit the elephant when it was crossing the rail track in the area between Madarihat and Dalgaon railway stations at about 2.40 AM, forest officials said.

Later the carcass was removed and buried, they said.
