TRS leader's son assaults toll plaza staff over Rs 30, three injured
The accused is the son of a TRS corporator
A TRS party leader's son was caught on camera assaulting staff of a toll plaza. High on power and alcohol, Manish assaulted three people and attempted to stab one person over payment of Rs 30 in toll.
Manish, the son of M Laxmi Prasanna, a TRS leader and corporator of B N Reddy Nagar in Hyderabad, along with five friends has been arrested after a case under IPC section 307 was booked for assaulting toll booth employees. The police said that according to eyewitness accounts, the gang dashed towards the Kadthal toll plaza in an inebriated state on Monday. When they were stopped and asked to pay Rs 30 as toll, the corporator's son kicked up a ruckus.
Not stopping at that he even thrashed one staff of the toll booth. When other staff came to the victim's rescue, the gang beat up two more people. Laxmi Prasanna's son threatened to stab an employee and chased him from the toll plaza.
The incident that took place on Monday night was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the toll booth. Other staff also recorded the ruckus on mobile cameras. Six people including the corporator's son have been booked while three have been injured in the incident. One of the victims is said to be in a critical state.
