Trouble for Arun Jaitley? Goa-based activist alleges FM used Navy chopper for personal use
New Delhi, Dec 26: A Goa-based activist has alleged that Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, misused naval helicopter for personal use. In a letter written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the activist has asked to inquire into the same. The activist has alleged that the family of Jaitley used it to attend a wedding.
As per an IndiaToday report, "In a complaint to Modi, activist and lawyer Aires Rodrigues claimed that Jaitley's wife Sangeeta and daughter Sonali, who arrived in Goa on December 23 by an Indigo flight 6E-335 to attend a wedding, were flown by a naval chopper from Dabolim Airport to a resort at Canacona in South Goa."
He said it was an irony that on the day the Modi government has declared as Good Governance Day, he had to seek his intervention in the matter."
The activist has sought Prime Minister's immediate intervention and has sought action on the same within 15 days. The activist has also said that if action is taken with in this time then he will move to High Court for appropriate orders.
