Trooper killed in Jammu accidental firing

Jammu, Aug 1: A Border Security Force trooper was killed in Jammu district Friday when his pistol fired accidentally, injuring another trooper, police said.

Both Inspector Ratiram and Constable Ramji Thakur were injured when the inspector's pistol went off accidentally. However, Ratiram has died of his injuries, police told IANS here.

The incident took place at the headquarters of 94 Battalion of the Border Security Force in the R.S. Pura town around 9 a.m.
