Trevor Noah Bids Farewell To India, Sends Message To Bengaluru Fans

As his 'Off The Record' tour in India came to a close, US comedian Trevor Noah shared a X (formerly known as Twitter) post on Wednesday to recap his visit to the country. In his farewell post, he gave a special nod to Bengaluru, especially after having poked fun at the venue for his comedy show in the city, which was cancelled at the last minute.

Trevor Noah posted several pictures of his visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra. He also shared glimpses of his journey in Delhi, capturing the essence of Old Delhi with its bustling, narrow streets and intricate tangle of electrical wires in his photographs. Additionally, he included a photo of the Vidhana Soudha (the legislative house) in Bengaluru.

Trevor expressed his intention to return to Bengaluru, saying, "What an experience it was coming and performing in your country for the first time. Thank you for sharing your rich history, your delicious cuisine and your fantastic arguments with me. Thank you to everyone who came out to the shows in Delhi and Mumbai because you made it truly unforgettable." He added a special message for Bengaluru, noting, "Bangalore, our story isn't done, I'll be back and next time we'll make sure it's the best show ever."

Reacting to his post, an Instagram user commented, "You are fabulous & do very good comedy with a perfect timing & most importantly on very connecting topics. But this time you were more in discussion not due to your shows of Delhi and Mumbai that went on smoothly but due to the Bangalore one that didn't went the way it should have been! Next time maybe will see your live performance." Another person wrote, "Bangalore made history with you. I know you will miss Bangaloremore than any city."

Fans were disappointed when Trevor Noah cancelled his Bengaluru show last month citing 'technical issues.' A video from his Mumbai show went viral on Twitter, in which the Emmy-winning comedian revealed that the Bengaluru show had to be canceled due to the substandard conditions of the venue, Manpho Convention Centre in Nagawara.

He mentioned, "Here at the Bengaluru venue, we walked through an alley filled with dogs - half of which were in cages... I've never prepared for a show where the backstage area featured dogs in cages."
