Trainee IAS Officer Puja Khedkar's Audi Has 21 Pending Challans, Notice Issued

It seems the troubles for trainee IAS Officer Puja Khedkar is just snowballing. The new allegations levelled against her come from Pune Traffic Police which claims that Khedkar's car has 21 cases of traffic violations.

Her private Audi, adorned with unauthorised red beacon lights and a "Government of Maharashtra" sticker, drew eyeballs, compounded by 21 reported traffic violations, including reckless driving.

"We have come to know that your private vehicle has 'Maharashtra Government' written at the front and rear, and also fixed a beacon light," stated the notice issued by Pune Traffic Police, prompting scrutiny over delayed action despite numerous infractions.

Khedkar, a 2023-batch IAS officer who secured an all-India rank (AIR) 841, hails from a family dedicated to public service, with her father, Dilip Khedkar, being a retired administrative officer.

Amid accusations of manipulating benefits under the physical disabilities category and OBC quota, she has been transferred to Washim.

"I am not authorised to speak on the issue. Government rules don't provide (allow) me to speak on this," Khedkar told reporters, reflecting the stringent guidelines governing public statements during investigations.
