Train Accident: PM Modi Arrives In Odisha
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Odisha following the horrific train accident in which nearly 300 people died.
He will first visit the accident site in Balasore, following which he will go to the hospital in Cuttack in which the injured have been admitted.

Meanwhile West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the state will be sending in 40 ambulances. 40 of our doctors reached Odisha and working the CM also said.
On the other hand, the Railways announced a Rs 10 lakh compensation for the families of the deceased.
Railway Minister, Ashwani Vaishnav has promised a high-level probe into the incident as he visited the site of the incident.

"A detailed high-level probe would be conducted and the railway safety commissioner would also do an independent inquiry. Right now, the focus is on rescue and relief operations," he said.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the accident could have been a result of a human error. The 'Kavach' system was also not available on the route and had that been there, the tragedy may have been averted.
"The rescue operation has been completed. Now, we are starting the restoration work. Kavach was not available on this route," Amitabh Sharma, Indian Railways spokesperson said.
