TRAI directs Reliance to withdraw extension on Jio Prime plan
Reliance Jio had earlier extended by 15 days its rock-bottom priced data offer under Prime membership.
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has ordered Reliance to withdraw 15-day extension on Jio Prime plan, said reports.
On March 31, Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio had extended by 15 days its rock-bottom priced data offer under Prime membership.
TRAI also reportedly asked Jio to withdraw 3-month complimentary offer.
Reliance Jio had earlier extended the three months of free services for customers, who have signed up for Jio Prime, and got a recharge of Rs 303 or more.
The company is also offering 100 GB of free 4G data, for users who recharged with Rs 999 or more, over the course of 90 days.
The paid service was supposed to start from July, 2017, onwards.
Reliance has agreed to comply with TRAI directions.
