Top Brands Launch Jewellery, Accessories To Capitalise On Ram Mandir Wave

Several leading brands left no stone unturned to make the most of the Ram Mandir wave prevailing all across India and launched several products ranging from watches, keychains, jewellery, gift box, 3D replica of Ram Mandir, silver coins carrying images of Ram Darbar, among others.

Previously, Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) had already anticipated a turnover of close to Rs 1 lakh crore ahead of the 'pran pratishta' ceremony of the idol of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on January 22. The figures were calculated after assessing feedback from trade associations in 30 cities including expenditures on goods, services, and several events related to the occasion. CAIT had expected a business of Rs 50,000 earlier but amid the strong momentum that surrounded the inauguration of Ram Temple, decided to revise it to Rs 1 lakh crore.

"This event not only resonates with religious sentiments but has also triggered a surge in economic activities. The faith and trust of people are fostering the creation of numerous new businesses based on the country's traditional economic system," said Praveen Khandelwal, national secretary-general of CAIT.

PP Jewellers by Pawan Gupta launched its exclusive Ayodhya collection of jewellery. PP Jewellers' Ayodhya collection has been crafted from 22-carat gold and precious gemstones. The jewellery line highlights Ramayana. The jewellery line included necklace showcasing Ram Mandir as it captures minutes details.

Meanwhile, leading biomaterials startup Phool launched Phool Ram Katha Gift Box that highlights the story of Ram through playing cards, oil, nut mix, incense sticks, celebration cards, and ceramic diyas, among others. Phool.co is an Indian biomaterials startup co-founded by Ankit Agarwal and Prateek Kumar in 2017 to collect temple flower waste dumped in rivers in Kanpur. It uses flowers from temples across India and creates useful products such as rose incense cones and Phool vermicompost.

Jaipur Watch Company also launched its exclusive limited edition of 'Ram Panchayatan' watch along with 'Ram Darbar' keychain before the Pran Pratishtha ceremony that was held on January 22, 2024 in Ayodhya. The painting in the Ram Panchayatan' watch highlights the coronation of Lord Ram along with 5 key elements namely Lord Rama and Sita (as one unit), Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughan and Hanuman. The paintings was crafted way back in 1910 by Raja Ravi and crafted into a limited edition collection of watches. The watches reportedly come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Rama Varma Thampuran. Gaurav Mehta, Founder-Designer of Jaipur Watch Company said, there is a significant demand for watches and keychains as the company received several bookings.

Kalyan Jewellers also launched its latest heritage jewellery collection namely Nimah containing motifs of Ram Mandir and Ram & Sita. Senco Gold & Diamonds too introduced its Siya Ram collection to make the most of the Ram Mandir wave prevailing all over India.

YK Jewellers launched its special collection of Ram Mandir rings on consecration day.

Meanwhile, Ayodhya has already captured the interest of leading companies such as Reliance, ITC, Dabur, Adani Wilmar, Coca-Cola, Emami, and Parle Products as these companies are set to boost presence of their respective products to make the most of the arrival of lakhs of devotees to the new hub of tourism. Several leading companies have been busy devising key strategies to augment their products' supplies in Ayodhya and shifted their focus to marketing campaigns.
