TN government announces solatium to deceased jawan's family
Chennai, Jul 10: Tamil Nadu government today announced a solatium of Rs 10 lakh to the family of BSF jawan T Anish, who was killed in Jammu and Kashmir recently.
Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa condoled the death of the jawan who succumbed to injuries sustained during a militant attack in Shopian district of that state early this week.

She hailed his 'brave sacrifice' and expressed her sympathies with the family of the deceased.
"I have directed that Rs 10 lakh be provided to the family of Anish," she said in a statement here.
Anish was injured in firing by the militants when troops launched an operation in Imam Sahib Shopian on July 8.
The jawan who belonged to the Army's 62 Rashtriya Rifles unit, hails from Kanyakumari district in the state.
