TN BJP urges govt to extend financial assistance to Bhavani family

, Dec 30: The BJP's state unit today demanded that the

government extended financial assistance to the victim of the Bengaluru bomb blast, as she hailed from this state.

"I request that the Tamil Nadu government should also announce financial assistance (to Bhavani) like Karnataka government did," party's state unit chief Tamizhisai Sounderrajan said after paying homage to the victim at her residence here.

Bhavani was killed in a low intensity explosion outside a restaurant in Church Street in Bangalore on Sunday night. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had announced a relief of Rs five lakh to Bhavani's kin.
