TN, AP to ditch Congress this time, says CNN-IBN opinion polls
New Delhi, March 6: The big states in south India, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, might deliver a heavy blow to Congress and UPA this Lok Sabha polls, says a Times of India report, quoting a TV channel's Opinion Poll results.

The two states had favoured Congress and UPA in 2009 general elections.

The CNN-IBN election tracker poll done by CSDS and Lokniti, says that the AIADMK-Left alliance is likely to win just over half the 39 seats in the state. The projected range for this alliance is 14-20, only a little more than the 10-14 seats projected for the DMK. The Congress is predicted to win 0-4 seats and "others" 5-9.

In Andhra Pradesh, the Congress had won 33 seats in 2009. But this time, its projected tally is 6-12, with the TRS being predicted to win seats in the same range.

However, the main battle will be between the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress (11-17) and the TDP (10-16) with "others" picking up 1-5 seats from the state's 42.
