TMC worker shot at and injured
Tamluk (WB), May 6: A Trinamool Congress worker was shot at and injured in Khejri area of East Midnapore district, day after polling in the area, as part of the final and sixth phase voting for West Bengal assembly polls.
A police officer said the TMC activist suffered bullet wound on chest by bike-borne assailants and admitted to Tamluk Hospital.

The TMC candidate from Khejuri Ranjit Mondal blamed CPI(M) for the attack saying the left was trying to unleash terror after seeing the groundswell of support for the TMC in entire Nandigram-Khejuri belt. The CPI(M) alleged it was due to TMC's inner squabble.
