Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Demands Temple Zone To Be Declared As No-Fly Zone

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which oversees the renowned Lord Venkateswara Temple, is advocating for a significant change. B R Naidu, the TTD chairman, has called upon Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu to declare Tirumala a no-fly zone. This request aims to uphold the principles of Agama Shastra, maintain the temple's sanctity, and respect the sentiments of devotees.

Naidu expressed concerns about low-flying aircraft and helicopters disrupting the sacred environment surrounding the Srivari temple. He believes these aerial activities compromise both the spiritual atmosphere and safety of visitors. The TTD chairman emphasized that such disturbances are not in line with preserving Tirumala's cultural and spiritual heritage.

Preserving Spiritual Heritage

To safeguard this heritage, Naidu urged the Union Minister to take appropriate action. He stressed that protecting Tirumala's sanctity is crucial for maintaining its historical and religious significance. The TTD's appeal highlights the importance of respecting traditional practices and ensuring a serene environment for worshippers.

Tirumala is not just a place of worship but also a symbol of cultural identity for many devotees. The temple attracts millions of pilgrims annually, making it vital to preserve its spiritual essence. By designating it as a no-fly zone, authorities can ensure that the temple remains a peaceful sanctuary for all who visit.

The TTD's request aligns with broader efforts to protect sacred sites across India. Many religious locations face similar challenges from modern developments and technological advancements. Balancing progress with tradition is essential to maintaining these sites' integrity and significance.
