Tihar jail gang war: 2 killed, 12 injured

Tihar, Oct 8: In a gang war between the inmates of Tihar jail, two people were killed and over a dozen were injured. Staff at the jail too incurred injuries at the high-security prison.

This happened at 2 pm when the jail authories were taking high security prisoners- Ishwar, Vijay and Shadab- to their cells after a routine medical check up from the jail dispensary. This is when another gang-Anil, Vasu and Shadab attacked them with hand-made weapons called "Kattan". Some other prisoners from jail numbers 1 2 4 also joined them.

While Ishwar and Anil were dead at the spot, there were others who had major injuries.

They were taken to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
