Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Other Bollywood Celebs To Be Questioned In Scam Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is likely to summon top Bollywood actors and singers in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Mahadev online betting case, as reported by India Today.
India Today exclusively reported on Friday about the attendance of actors and singers at the wedding of Sourabh Chandrakar, the promoter of the Mahadev Book app, which took place in the UAE in February of this year. Among the notable attendees were Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Asgar, Vishal Dadlani, Elli AvrRam, Bharti Singh, Bhagyashree, Kriti Kharbanda, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Krushna Abhishek.

The Mahadev Book app, an online betting platform, is currently under investigation by the ED and multiple state police departments.
Based on digital evidence gathered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), it has been revealed that Rs 112 crore was transferred through hawala channels to an event management company, while an additional Rs 42 crore was paid in cash for hotel bookings.
ED's Actions in the Case:
On September 15, 2023, the Enforcement Directorate froze and seized assets valued at Rs 417 crore in connection with the Mahadev online betting case.
The company had been operating from Dubai and allegedly used the online book betting application to recruit new users, establish user IDs, and launder money through a complex network of benami (anonymous) bank accounts.
The ED noted that large-scale hawala operations were conducted to transfer betting proceeds to offshore accounts, and substantial cash expenditures were made in India to advertise betting websites, attracting new users and franchise seekers.
The promoters of the company are from Bhilai in Chhattisgarh, and the Mahadev Online Book Betting application serves as an umbrella syndicate facilitating illegal betting websites through online platforms.
