Three Army personnel injured in IED at Kashmir
Three Army personnel have been injured in an IED blast in Kashmir. The incident occurred in the wee hours of Monday.
The explosion took place between the Sugan and Chillapora area in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Sources say that this was the handiwork of a local terror group. The suspicion currently is on the Hizbul Mujahideen, the source also added. The entire area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched.
The incident comes close on the heels of a soldier being martyred in a terror attack that took place the Kakopora Army camp in Pulwama on Sunday night.
It may be recalled that the Indian Government had declared a unilateral ceasefire due to the holy month of Ramazan. Despite the ceasefire there have been a spate of attacks.
The Indian Army says that these incidents are being staged with an intention of provoking them. Interestingly the Hurriyat Conference has not commented either on the ceasefire or the attacks taking place.
