Those excluded in NRC won’t be taken back by Bangladesh

New Delhi, Aug 1: Bangladesh has made it clear that it will not take back those who have been excluded from the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam.

People wait to check their names on the final draft of the states National Register of Citizens after it was released, at a NRC Seva Kendra in Nagaon

We don't think we will take back those people who have been excluded in the final draft of the NRC. This is not a bilateral issue between the countries and so the question does not arise, Bangladesh culture minister, Asaduzzaman Noor told the Indian Express.

He said that the issue is not a bilateral one between Bangladesh and India and hence the question of taking those people whose names have been excluded from the list does not arise.
