This Man Killed Punjabi Singer And Rapper Sidhu Moosewala

Goldy Brar, a gangster based in Canada, has confessed to orchestrating the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, a popular Punjabi singer and rapper. This admission came nearly three years after the tragic event. In a BBC documentary released on Moosewala's birth anniversary, Brar took full responsibility for the killing without showing any remorse.

Sidhu Moosewala was tragically shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Jawahar Ke village near his hometown of Moosa in Punjab's Mansa district. His murder occurred just one day after the Punjab government reduced his security cover. The incident shocked fans and raised questions about the circumstances leading to his death.

Goldy Brar's Justification

In an interview with the BBC, Brar explained that Moosewala's actions left him with no choice but to kill him. "In his arrogance, he [Moosewala] made some mistakes that could not be forgiven," Brar stated. "We had no option but to kill him. He had to face the consequences of his actions. It was either him or us. As simple as that."

The rivalry between Sidhu Moosewala and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang intensified after Moosewala publicly supported a tournament organised by their rivals, the Bambiha gang. This act angered Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates, leading to threats against Moosewala.

Escalation of Tensions

Brar claimed that tensions began over a kabaddi tournament in Punjab promoted by Moosewala. "That's a village our rivals come from. He was promoting our rivals," Brar said. This promotion upset Lawrence Bishnoi and others, who then threatened Moosewala.

The conflict seemed resolved when Vicky Vikramjit Singh Middukhera intervened. However, it reignited when Middukhera was killed on August 7, 2021, in Mohali. Brar suggested that Moosewala was allegedly linked to Vicky's murder.

Unresolved Disputes

"Everyone knew Sidhu's role; even the police and journalists investigating knew," Brar mentioned. He accused Moosewala of using political power and resources to aid their rivals. Despite their pleas for legal action against Moosewala, nothing happened.

"We wanted him to face punishment for what he'd done," Brar added. "He should have been booked; he should have been jailed." Frustrated by inaction, they decided to take matters into their own hands.

The Aftermath

Sidhu Moosewala's real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu. On the day of his murder, he travelled without police protection when attackers fired over 30 bullets at him while he sat in his car.

Goldy Brar is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and has been declared an 'individual terrorist' by India's National Investigation Agency (NIA). Despite this designation, he remains at large as investigations continue.
