This Is How Mamata Banerjee Reacts To Sri Lankan President's Remarks Of Leading INDIA Bloc

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who is on a 12-day trip to Dubai and Spain. met Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Dubai International Airport.

The Sri Lankan President asked the Trinamool Supremo whether she would lead the opposition 'INDIA' to which the West Bengal Chief Minister smiled and said if the people support her.

The Sri Lankan President repeated his question and asked another person present there whether she would lead the opposition. In response to this the WB Chief Minister said "If people support us, we can be in position (power) tomorrow."

The West Bengal Chief Minister met the Sri Lankan President at the Dubai airport and invited him to the state business summit in November.

"His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe saw me at the Dubai International Airport Lounge and called me to join for some discussion. I have been humbled by his greetings and (have) invited him to the Bengal Global Business Summit 2023 in Kolkata," Mamata Banerjee posted on X (formerly Twitter).

She further added that she has been invited by Wickremesinghe to visit the island country.

Meanwhile, Opposition bloc INDIA is all set to hold its first meeting on Wednesday to discuss over the seat-sharing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The meeting of the 14-member panel will take place at the residence of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar in New Delhi on September 13 evening.

The West Bengal CM who is in Spain on a three-day business summit said, "We are going to Spain after 5 years. Spain was a partner during the Kolkata Book Fair. Spain has a prosperous manufacturing industry. We are going at their invitation. Let us see what progress can be made," before boarding.

Bengal Business Summit is scheduled to be held on November 21-23."
