Things take time to improve: Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on J&K govt
Srinagar, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said on Tuesday that people must have patience to allow the government to rise to their expectations.
"It will take time to put the system back on track," Sayeed told a media conference in Srinagar on Tuesday as he attended the office on the opening of the civil secretariat here after six months of winter.

He appealed to the people to have patience and allow the Peoples Democratic Party-Bharatiya Janata Party (PDP-BJP) coalition government to fulfill the promises made to them.
"The coalition government has just completed two months. Some people talk as if we have been in power for years. Things cannot happen overnight, it takes time," the chief minister said.
Sayeed: Revival of tourism is our other priority
He said his government's top priority was to help the victims of last year's unprecedented floods in the state. He also spoke of revival of tourism and building of infrastructure like roads and bridges.
"Revival of tourism is our other priority so that people associated with it earn their livelihood. We want the youth of the state to be employed," Sayeed said.
"Vacancies will be filled up in a transparent manner. You will not have seen such a system anywhere in the country."
Answering a question about the release and re-arrest of hardline separatist Masrat Alam, the chief minister said: "There was no pressure. It was his deeds because certain things are not acceptable." The reference was to the rally organised by Alam where Pakistani flags were waved.
