Thief Donates Rs 10, Steals Rs 5,000 From Hanuman Temple
In Haryana, a man entered the temple, chanted Hanuman Chalisa, donated Rs 10 and walked out by stealing Rs 5,000.
The incident came to light from the Rewari district at a Hanuman temple. The thief's act was caught on CCTV camera, according to a report in India Today.

The report claims that the man sat along with other devotees inside the sanctum sanctorum. He offered prayers and chanted Hanuman Chalisa.
He is also seen donating Rs 10. However, once he realises that there was no one around he steals Rs 5000 from the donation box.
On the day of the incident, the priest failed to take notice of the theft. However, he came to know about the incident when he opens the door of the temple the following day.
With the help of the CCTV camera, they identified the thief. However, the man who stole the money is yet to be arrested by the cops.
In a similar incident in Thane district in Maharashtra in 2021, a man was seen stealing from the donation box after performing prayers at Lord Hanuman temple.
In the CCTV footage, it was revealed that the young man touched the feet of the diety before picking up the donation box and fleeing from the spot. The Naupada police arrested the man, later.
"We started making inquiries with residents of the area around the temple, working on the assumption that a local would be in the best position to know when there would be the least number of people present in the temple. We showed stills from the CCTV footage to a large number of locals and got several leads as to the identity of the suspects," senior police inspector Sanjay Dhumal, Naupada police station told Hindustan Times.
Based on the inquiry, they arrested the accused along with his accomplice.
