Thermal plant worker dies in suspected mishap

Tuticorin (TN), Apr 14: A 40-year-old employee of the Thermal Power Station here died after apparently getting trapped in the conveyor belt system, police said today.

Satish, a fitter in the conveyor belt division, could have accidentally got trapped in the conveyor belt last night while moving coal within the plant during his night shift, they said.

Satish's body was found by his colleagues near the coal loading point in the plant this morning, police said, adding investigation into the case is underway.
