The Indian Mujahideen hit-list: Kill all cops who tormented them

Abdus Subhan Qureshi has revealed that he met with Indian Mujahideen co-founder Riyaz Bhatkal in Saudi Arabia a few months prior to his arrest. He said that the meeting was fixed up in Saudi Arabia as it was not possible for him to travel to Pakistan where Riyaz is residing.

He said that the meetings were held to plan the revival of the outfit. He said that they had prepared a hit-list of 12 officials in the Mumbai crime branch which was instrumental in busting the IM in 2009 before it revived again in 2011.

The IM had in the past too prepared a hit-list of the police officials who had arrested over 20 cadres of the outfit in a major country wide crackdown. Subhan alias Tauqeer told the officials in the special cell of the Delhi police that the crackdown had hurt the group badly.

He further said that they had planned on a series of killings to seek revenge. This would have caused a scare and also led to the revival of the group. He also said that several of the group's members who are underground are demoralised. We needed to carry out a spectacular attack to announce our arrival and this would have boosted the morale of the cadres he also added.
