The Chhota Rajan nightmare at Tihar Jail

New Delhi, Dec 29: Guarding Chhota Rajan at the Tihar jail is no easy task. Lodged in a 5 by 10 feet prison cell, the jail authorities at Tihar are having a nightmare as they receive a communication almost every two days citing a major security threat to Rajan.

He has to be guarded all the time, says a Tihar jail official and there is no question of taking any risk.

For Rajan the biggest threat comes from his former colleague and biggest enemy, Chhota Shakeel, a right hand man of Dawood Ibrahim.

Shakeel has claimed many times in the past that he will not rest until he sees the back of Rajan.

It is a well known fact that the underworld is very capable of infiltrating even into jails to get their job done.

The nightmare at Tihar:

Shakeel has taken it upon himself to ensure the elimination of Rajan. If Shakeel does succeed in his plans, it would be one of the biggest embarrassment for India and the Tihar jail officials in particular.

This is one of the main reasons why the Indian agencies decided to keep Rajan and Delhi and not Mumbai where the underworld has a major clout.

At Tihar, his food is specially cooked and even tasted before it is served to him. Rajan has been recommended a lot of exercise.

There are 10 armed cops who escort him during his walks and even guard him while he is doing his yoga every morning. Even the cell in which he is lodged in is an isolated one.

Anyone, who wants to speak with him in Tihar, is checked thoroughly and will need to maintain a safe distance while speaking with him.

There is always a guard on duty when Rajan has a visitor. The security is maximum even when a family member of Rajan has to meet him.
