Tharoor praises Smriti, clarifies later

New Delhi, June 14: Shashi Tharoor has done it again. The MP from Kerala, who was recently criticised by Congressmen for praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi a week back, praised HRD minister Smriti Irani on Thursday.

On Twitter, Tharoor describes Irani as an 'engaged and receptive' minister and said that he enjoyed meeting her during a discussion on India's educational challenges.

To all the cynics: my last tweet was not a blanket endorsement of anything @smritiirani or her Govt may do in future. It's called civility.

However, soon Tharoor said that his tweet was not a blanket endorsement of Irani and that his act was more out of civility.
