Thane police issues warrants against Vicky Goswami, Mamta Kulkarni

The Thane police on Tuesday issued a non-bailable warrants against former bollywood beauty Mamta Kulkarni and druglord Vicky Goswami in connection with a drugs haul case.

Speaking to TOI, a senior police officer said that the investigators claimed to have got some evidence against Goswami and Kulkarni based on which they want to file a chargesheet. But ever since, the duo names have cropped up, they have been absconding.

The Thane police raided Avon Lifesciences in Solapur last year and seized around 18.5 tonne of ephedrine worth Rs 2,000 crore.

As per the police, ephedrine was being diverted from Avon Lifesciences to a Kenya-based drug cartel headed by Goswami where it was used to make party-drug Methamphetamine. The police have arrested more than 10 persons in the case.
