Thane, Maharashtra: Maharashtra's Industries Minister, Uday Samant, conducted a thorough review of the preparations for the upcoming state government-organized job fair, Namo Maharojgar Melawa, scheduled to take place in Thane on March 6 and 7. The job fair aims to provide employment opportunities to unemployed youth from the Konkan division and will be held at the Modella Mill Compound in the Wagle Estate area.

Review Meeting and Instructions

Minister Samant presided over a crucial review meeting attended by key officials, including District Magistrate Ashok Shingare, Thane Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abhijit Bangar, Commissioner of Skill Development Department Nidhi Chaudhary, and Additional Commissioner of Police Mahesh Patil. During the meeting, Samant issued clear instructions to ensure the event's success.

Essential Facilities and Safety Measures

Recognizing the importance of attendee comfort and safety, Minister Samant directed officials to arrange essential facilities such as water supply, ample parking spaces, medical aid stations, ambulances, and fire extinguishers for the two-day event. The police department has been tasked with ensuring the safety and security of all attendees, as confirmed by District Information Officer Manoj Sanap in an official release.

Impressive Participation and Expected Outcomes

The job fair is set to feature an impressive 352 stalls, with over 1,000 companies participating each day. The release anticipates that on March 6, approximately 56,120 individuals will secure employment opportunities, while the number of job seekers is projected to reach 44,774 the following day.
