Tenure in WB was wonderful, says MK Narayanan
Kolkata, July 3: Before signing off, the Governor of West Bengal, M K Narayanan on Wednesday administered oath to three Trinamool Congress MLAs.

A The Hindu report said that the governor exchanged pleasantries with Trinamool Congress leaders and had food with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the event at Raj Bhavan .

Many ministers from the state Cabinet greeted Narayanan and posed for pictures with him.

The Trinamool Congress leadership, last week, described him as a "guardian who was keenly interested in the affairs of the State".

The Hindu report said that when asked about his tenure in the State as the Governor, Narayanan said, "What can I say....Everything was wonderful."

Appointed in January 2010, it was during Narayanan's tenure the change of power in the State after 34 years of Left rule happened.

The State unit of the BJP also had described Narayanan as "one of the most praiseworthy Governors, who performed his duties impartially".

The beleaguered Governor is reportedly leaving the State on Friday, only seven months before the end of his tenure.
