Tension gripped Udaipur after a class 10 student was allegedly stabbed by a classmate at a government school in the city. We received reports of a fight between two students, during which one was attacked on his thigh with a knife. The wound was severe, and the injured student was immediately rushed to the hospital."

Poswal assured, "I visited the student, and his condition is now stable. The police are investigating the motive behind the incident. I urge the public not to fall prey to rumors or misinformation. The attacker has been arrested, along with his father."

He further added, "We are investigating whether any other individuals were involved. No one responsible will be spared. I appeal to the public to verify any information or forwards they receive on WhatsApp with the authorities, as some may try to disrupt the peace. It is our collective duty to maintain calm in the city."

Udaipur's Superintendent of Police (SP) Yogesh Goyal told PTI, "Additional police forces have been deployed in the area to ensure law and order. The accused has been detained."

This incident follows a recent communal clash in Jodhpur in June, where tensions erupted over the installation of two new gates at an Eidgah near Rajaram Circle. The police detained 51 people in connection with the violence, which began after some residents opposed the construction, fearing increased foot traffic in the area. The situation escalated, leading to stone-pelting and injuries to two police officers.
