Sania Mirza stokes controversy: When MP govt replaced tennis star for her 'unusual demands'

New Delhi, Dec 3: This news will definitely disappoint all the fans of ace tennis star Sania Mirza. Reportedly, Sania recently demanded charted plane and expensive make-up kit of worth Rs 75,000 to attend a award function.

When controversy hit the headlines, it was told that demands were made by Sania's private secretary who didn't take consent from her.

Madhya Pradesh Government wanted Tennis star to be chief guest for its annual sports awards function. But when Government authorities heard about her unfair demands, they dropped the idea.

This shocking disclosure has been made by the State Sports minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia.

Scindia was quoted by TOI as saying, "I respect her talent and she has undoubtedly made India proud at international platform but her demands were unacceptable. She wanted MP government to arrange expensive make-up kit and a chartered jet with five business class tickets."

Peeved with the way Sania Mirza acted pricey, Madhya Pradesh Government later invited senior badminton coach Pullela Gopichand to attend the function.
