Tennis Players Radhika Yadav Murder Case: Accused Father Confesses 'Kanya Vadh' To Brother On Call

In a heartbreaking and deeply disturbing case, the father of rising tennis coach Radhika Yadav has allegedly confessed to her murder. Deepak Yadav, the accused, reportedly called his brother moments after the crime and admitted to killing his 25-year-old daughter.

According to Vijay Yadav, Deepak's brother, the accused said over the phone, "Brother, I have committed Kanya Vadh (killing of a woman). Kill me now." Vijay revealed this shocking detail during an interview on Saturday. Deepak was reportedly overwhelmed with emotion and remorse, insisting that he deserved the harshest punishment. "Write my statement and the FIR in such a way that I get hanged," he allegedly told his brother.

Radhika Yadav Murder Case

A Relationship Under Strain

Family sources say the relationship between Deepak and Radhika had become tense in recent months. Though Deepak once proudly accompanied Radhika to her 5 a.m. tennis training sessions, his attitude reportedly changed as she gained recognition and financial independence.

Radhika had grown into a successful tennis coach, teaching students across different venues and earning a good income. But her success reportedly became a source of tension. Vijay Yadav explained that Deepak felt humiliated by villagers who taunted him for living off his daughter's earnings. "Even when he went to buy milk, people mocked him, saying he was surviving on Radhika's money," Vijay said.

Success and Social Pressure: A Deadly Mix

According to initial reports, Deepak had asked Radhika to quit her coaching work - a request she refused. This, coupled with frequent insults from locals, may have pushed Deepak into a state of emotional and psychological crisis. On the day of the incident, Deepak allegedly shot Radhika at their Gurugram home.

The police confirmed that while Deepak did not face financial difficulties-he earned from property rentals-the emotional toll from social pressure and personal frustration may have contributed to the tragic act.

Investigation Ongoing

Deepak was arrested soon after the incident and has been placed in 14-day police custody. Authorities are also questioning Radhika's mother, who was reportedly present in the house at the time of the murder.

Police have also clarified that Radhika did not own or run a tennis academy, but instead worked across several venues by booking courts and teaching students.

Chilling Murder

Radhika Yadav's murder has sent shockwaves across the country. Young, independent, and talented, she was seen as a rising star in Indian sports. Her death has sparked conversations about mental health, family dynamics, and the crushing impact of social judgment.

This tragedy is not only a reminder of the emotional complexities within families but also of the urgent need to address mental well-being and societal pressures that often go unnoticed - until it's too late.
