Telangana: Now, SIT to probe killing of 5 undertrials
Nalgonda, April 13: The Telangana government has decided to form a Special Investigation team to inquire into the April 7 encounter of the five undertrials near Alair of Nalgonda district.
K Chandrashekhar Rao has ordered a full inquiry and instructed (chief secretary) Rajiv Sharma to issue orders on Monday to sppoint SIT. The chief minister has ordered the same pertaining to doubts expressed by certain organizations and some people on the encounter.

The five undertrials allegedly tried to escape from the police van near Tangutur under Alair Police Station limits in Nalgonda district, while they were taken to a court in Hyderabad. They were named as: Viquar, Syed Amjad Ali, Mohammed Zakir, residents of Hyderabad, Mohammed Haneef alias Dr Haneef, native of Ahmedabad, and Izhar Khan, native of Uttar Pradesh.
