Telangana MLAs all set for junket to Israel as progressive farmers, opposition condemns move
Hyderabad, Apr 21: In yet another example of misuse of power and tax payers' money, a group of MLAs from Telangana are heading for a junket to Israel.
What's more shocking is that the delegation of MLAs, headed by state's agriculture minister, are going on a foreign tour as 'progressive farmers'. This has given opposition leaders a chance to criticise the TRS government in the state.
As per reports, the delegation heading for Israel's capital Tel Aviv to attend Agritech 2015 exposition includes four MLAs. But none of them are active farmers.

Opposition Congress and BJP have slammed the state government and termed it unconstitutional and misuse of power.
Reacting to the reports BJP leader G Kishan Reddy said, "This is misuse of powers and is unconstitutional."

While the state agriculture department has said that all 4 MLAs qualify as progressive farmers because of the progressive measures they have encouraged in their fields like the use of pesticides, organic farming and the use of drip irrigation.
