Telangana MLA wants to build temple for Sonia Gandhi
As a token of gratitude for approving Telangana state formation, a Secunderabad legislator offers to build a temple for Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Former minister and Secunderabad cantonment MLA Shankar Rao said he would build a temple for Sonia Gandhi in his constituency for announcing the separate state of Telangana.
He is not kidding. Not a bit. He has even chosen the date to start the temple construction.
"I will lay the foundation stone for the temple of Sonia Gandhi in Secunderabad on December 9, 2013 (Sonia's birthday)," he said.
And he doesn't stop there. He further urged his fellow legislators to build temples in every constituency of the region as a gesture of gratitude to the Congress chief.
