Telangana: Former MP hurt in road mishap

Karimnagar (Telangana) Feb 25: Former Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar was on Saturday injured in a road accident in Rajanna Sircilla district of Telangana, the police said. Prabhakar was returning in a car after having a 'darshan' of Lord Raja Rajeshwara Swamy in Vemulawada when the vehicle overturned around 4.30 am.
The mishap occured on the outskirts of Sankepalli village, 20 kilometres from Karimnagar, injuring the ex-MP and five others travelling with him. They were immediately shifted to a private hospital, the police said adding further probe is underway.
