Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy Meets Union Ministers to Advocate for Key Infrastructure Projects
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy recently engaged with three Union ministers in the capital, advocating for essential infrastructure and development projects. These initiatives span transportation, education, and environmental sectors. The meetings with Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, and G Kishan Reddy focused on presenting a detailed list of demands vital for Telangana's progress, according to an official statement.

During discussions with Nitin Gadkari, who leads the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Reddy emphasised the need for technical and financial approvals for the northern section of Hyderabad's Regional Ring Road (RRR). He noted that 94% of the land required for the 159-km stretch has been acquired. Concerns were also raised about the NH-765 route linking Srisailam with Hyderabad, especially the 62-km segment through the Amrabad forest.
Transportation and Infrastructure Developments
The chief minister requested funds in the 2024-25 budget for a four-lane elevated corridor and a detailed project report for road widening. Additional proposals included a bypass in Warangal, ropeways at Yadadri temple and Nagarjunasagar project, and permission for road development in forest areas.
In his meeting with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Reddy sought support for establishing a Kendriya Vidyalaya and recognition for a deemed university. These educational initiatives aim to enhance learning opportunities in Telangana.
Education and Environmental Initiatives
Reddy also met G Kishan Reddy, who manages the coal and mines portfolio. He advocated for implementing Metro Phase 2 through a 50:50 joint venture. Additionally, he requested Rs 7,440 crore in funds to revitalise the Musi river. The chief minister also pushed for coal block allocation to Singareni and Telangana's inclusion in the semiconductor mission.
The discussions highlighted Telangana's commitment to advancing its infrastructure and educational facilities. By addressing these critical areas, the state aims to foster growth and development across various sectors.
