Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Acknowledges Public Support for Congress Wins
In a significant political development in Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed his gratitude towards the electorate for the Congress party's impressive performance in the recent elections. The ruling Congress emerged victorious in eight out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats, alongside a win in the bypolls for the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency. This victory marks a pivotal moment for the Congress party, underlining the public's approval of their governance since assuming office on December 7, 2023.

Revanth Reddy, who also serves as the president of the Telangana Congress, highlighted the importance of this electoral success. "The voters have blessed the 100-day rule of the Congress government in the state," he stated, emphasizing how this win has bolstered the confidence of the party and its governance strategies. The Chief Minister's statement reflects a sense of encouragement received from the electorate, propelling them towards delivering more effective governance.
The election results have not only reaffirmed the people's support for the Congress party but have also set a new direction for its activists, leaders, and supporters. Revanth Reddy extended his thanks to everyone who contributed to this significant victory. He assured that with the conclusion of the poll code, the Congress-led government is poised to provide exemplary governance focused on state development and public welfare.
The electoral outcome has been noteworthy for Congress, matching its tally with that of BJP, each securing eight seats out of the total 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana. This is a marked improvement from the 2019 parliament elections where Congress had won only three seats. Additionally, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi retained his hold over the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency.
Another highlight from these elections was Congress nominee Sriganesh's victory in the bypoll to Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency, conducted simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls on May 13. This bye-election was necessitated by the unfortunate demise of sitting BRS MLA G Lasya Nandita in a road accident earlier this year.
This electoral success signifies a crucial moment for the Congress party in Telangana, reflecting a strong endorsement from the public for their policies and governance approach. With an eye on further consolidating their position and delivering on their promises, the Congress government is set to embark on a path aimed at comprehensive development and welfare initiatives for the people of Telangana.
