Tejpal's custody extended by 4 more days

, former editor-in-chief of

magazine who is in police custody for allegedly raping a junior journalist, will remain in custody for four more days, informed

police.

Tejpal was accused of raping the woman during a Tehelka event in Goa. Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Panaji, had remanded him for six days in police custody last week.

Sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 376 (2) (f) and 376 C of IPC have been added to the FIR. Tejpal has gone through DNA and potency test in the Goa Medical College and he was also taken to the hotel where the crime allegedly took place.

Reportedly, Tejpal, during the probe, told the police the act was consensual and not rape.
