Tejpal's lawyer: Should have been given more time

"You cannot expect a man who has been sent a summon at 5:30 pm in the evening to be produced the very next day, especially when he said that he was out of station. This is possible only when he is a superman. Somebody on a trip has to collect a lot of things; you cannot expect that person to fly just like that. You need tickets," said one of his lawyers.
Another said,"there is a law in the constitution which allows the person some time to produce himself if he is unavailable in the city. He should have been given enough time. Moreover, we never said that we would not co-operate. He has been sending letters to communicate his situation."
Sources, however say that he can produce himself to the Goa sessions court only by 5 pm today.
