Tejashwi Yadav Congratulates Nitish Kumar on Bihar CM Win, Hope New Govt Will Focus on Promises

Nitish Kumar's return as Bihar chief minister for a fifth straight term drew a cordial response from RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who extended his wishes and stressed that the new government must deliver on its commitments to the people.

Tejashwi Extends His Wishes

Shortly after the swearing-in ceremony, Tejashwi took to X to congratulate the chief minister and newly inducted ministers. He wrote, "Hearty congratulations to Nitish Kumar on taking the oath as the chief minister of Bihar. Heartiest wishes to all the ministers of the Bihar government who were sworn in as members of the council of ministers."

He added that he expects the new administration to work with sincerity. "I hope that the new government will live up to the aspirations and expectations of responsible citizens, fulfil its promises and declarations, and bring positive and qualitative change to the lives of the people of Bihar."

RJD Reflects on Election Setback

Following the party's disappointing performance, the RJD posted its own message on X, acknowledging the outcome while reiterating its long-term commitment to public service.

The party stated, "Public service is an unceasing process, an endless journey. Ups and downs are inevitable in it. No sorrow in defeat, no arrogance in victory. The Rashtriya Janata Dal is the party of the poor. It will continue to raise their voice among the poor."

Call for People-Centric Governance

With the NDA forming the new government, the RJD leadership has signaled that it will continue to push for issues affecting marginalized groups while expecting the ruling coalition to focus on promises made during the campaign.
