Teen Pregnancy Following Rape in UP's Farukkhabad Raises Alarm

A 13-year-old girl has reportedly become pregnant after being raped by a government school peon, according to police on Saturday. The family of the girl has filed a case against the accused men. An FIR has been lodged against the peon and his associate, who allegedly assisted him during the incident.

The girl was attacked when she went out at night to defecate. Pankaj and Amit, both from the village, caught her and took her to an empty house. Amit raped her while Pankaj stood outside keeping watch, as per the complaint cited by a police official. They stuffed a cloth in her mouth to silence her.

Police Investigation Underway

The girl was threatened with death if she reported the crime. When she became five months pregnant, her mother discovered what had happened and approached the local police. The police have lodged an FIR on charges of rape and under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the accused.

Kayamganj Kotwali in-charge Inspector Ram Avatar stated that an initial medical examination of the girl has been conducted. "No one has been arrested yet. Arrests will be made soon in the case," he added.

Details of the Accused

Pankaj, one of the accused, is employed as a peon in a council school. He secured his job as a dependent of a deceased person, according to police sources. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to apprehend the suspects involved in this heinous crime.

The girl's family is seeking justice for their daughter, and the community is awaiting further developments in this case.
