Technical snag holes up passengers; Refuse to leave plane

Holed up for three hours on board, these passengers were requested to unboard the plane after the crew informed them of a technical snag. The flight was scheduled to take off at 9:50 am today morning, but never took off.
Passengers also alleged that the airlines refused to shift the 60 odd passengers to a different flight. Following which they staged a massive protest and refused to unboard the flight. It is eight hours now and they are still onboard.
Many of these passengers had connecting flights from Singapore, which they missed. This means, they now have to wait for the next flight which is only after three days.
Since transit visas to Singapore last for just 24 hours, many have expired that and would have to wait in Mumbai airport itself.
