BJP-TDP alliance: Stuck over Vijayawada & Vishakhapatnam?

New Delhi, April 2: After a host of discussion and differences, the

alliance may finally take shape in a day or two. Inside reports suggest that the

alliance and seat sharing may have been finalised.

Seemandhra, on the other hand is facing issues with seat sharing. While discussions are going on over MP seats, especially from the side of BJP in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, TDP seems reluctant to agree to BJP's demands there.

Initially, it was suggested that the two sides may settle for BJP contesting 8 Lok Sabha and 45 assembly seats in Telangana and 4-5 Lok Sabha and 12-15 assembly seats in Seemandhra.

According to a Times of India report, BJP, after seeking 50:50 share in the region's 119 seats, sought 45 assembly seats in Telangana. TDP leaders had gained a political clout when the BJP supported them for Telangana, but the former said that meeting the demand of BJP on political grounds was difficult.
