Assam CM Tarun Gogoi condemns attack on NE youths

Chief Minister

on Friday condemned the recent incidents of racial attacks on youths from the North East in Delhi and other parts of the country.

"Such dastardly attacks on NE youth in Delhi and other places outside the region are most despicable and reprehensible," the Chief Minister tweeted.

Besides, such racial attacks prevent them from coming to the mainstream, Gogoi said. He also called for stern action against such racial attacks. Gogoi also demanded "enactment of a deterrent law to prevent such racial attacks on North East youth in Delhi and other parts of the country."

Two attacks on youths from the North East, were reported from Delhi and Bangalore during the last 48 hours.
