Tarun Gogoi accuses ECI officials of bias
Guwahati, April 11: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday, April 11 accused Election Commission officials of bias saying they were harassing Congress leaders across the state.
Addressing a press conference here, Gogoi condemned an incident on Sunday when the residence of Congress leader and former minister Goutam Bora at Dhing was allegedly laid siege to by EC officials.

Gogoi said that while the poll panel did not take any action for violation of code of conduct by BJP leaders like Himanta Biswa Sarma, it raided the houses of other Congress leaders like Rockybul Hussain and Goutam Bora without any reason.
Election officials in Assam objected to the press conference saying the chief minister cannot hold a press conference when the elections are on.
"I am a law abiding citizen. But should I not clarify my stand," Gogoi asked.
