Tamil version of Gandhi's autobiography to be released
Coimbatore, Dec 3: A Tamil version of Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography 'The Story of My Experiments with Truth' will be released here by noted actor-director Kamal Hassan on December 6.
The book titled 'Sathya Sothanai', published by Sapna Book House, contains over 700 pages which is cut short into small lines and paragraphs making the book easier for the younger generation to understand, the Chief Executive of the house, V Karthikeyan, said here today.

The autobiography has been translated by Andal Priyadarshini, the writer and Head of programme of Doordarshan in Coimbatore and Madurai, and given a natural touch by creative director of Maruthi Printers, Thangavelu, with his exclusive designs, he said.
A special discount price will be given on the release day, as the hardbound book it will be Rs 400 and paper back type book Rs 220, as against Rs 450 and Rs 270 respectively, Karthikeyan said.
Priyadarshini said that she, along with Sapna Book House, had worked together for one year for the translation and rework of the book into a flexible format.
Managing Director of Sapna Book House Nitin Shah, Chairman of Local Chapter of Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, B K Krishnaraj Vanavarayar and Tamil poet Puviarasu will be among the chief guests during the occasion.
